We are very excited to offer the public the chance to see our journey into a new arena of mixed-media and found object sculpture with this show!! Cheryl came upon the opportunity to purchase some nice, heavy old wooden doors for a very good price and her husband Dave cut them up into sections that contain either 1 or 2 panels each. Then Cheryl challenged the BSA artists to turn them into pieces of art; they each first selected 1 or 2 of their favorite colors, decided on a favorite theme, and went to town. The results are amazing! What pieces of art we have to show to you....and, of course, they're all for sale. In addition to the doors, we also have a large array of boxes....some old, some new....that hold various themes as collages and found object art. Some incorporate small clocks, making them functional art; others are simply decorative. And, don't worry, we will still have lots and lots of those colorful, whimsical paintings Blue Shoe Arts is known for, as well as fabric art, found object sculpture, dolls, drawings and our various art products including jewelry, t-shirts, note cards and prints.
